A CREACTIVE SPACE

Adanel Studio is a thriving place of creativity & community. It’s a workshop for
professional artists and a space for others to come and be creative too.

The studio hosts art classes (for kids, teens and adults), work parties, birthdays or bridal
showers & art sessions with friends.

The studio is intimate and elevated, with gallery walls filled with original art and shelves
and tables displaying hand- painted ceramics.

It’s a truly magical space.

WATER WAYS COLLECTION

The “Water Ways Collection” is a meditation on the quiet, persistent presence of water in our lives. Each piece in this series explores the subtle rhythms and shifting moods of rivers, streams, and rain—those everyday waterways that shape our landscapes and our memories. Through layered brushwork and nuanced color, I aim to capture not just the surface reflections, but the sense of movement and transformation that water brings.

Water, for me, is both subject and metaphor. It is a reminder of nature’s resilience and our own capacity for renewal. In painting these scenes, I am drawn to the ordinary moments—a ripple in a pond, the glint of light on wet stones, the hush of rain at dusk—that invite us to pause and notice the world’s quiet beauty. My hope is that viewers will find in these works a sense of calm, connection, and wonder, and perhaps be reminded of the ways water shapes not only our environment, but our inner lives as well.

ALLOY COLLECTION

This Collection of alcohol ink artworks represent a visual metaphor of transformation. An “alloy” is the combination of an inferior metal with a precious one, which results in a stronger metal. This new project is more resilient, strong and less prone to corrosion.

What a powerful metaphor for applying to our own lives! We don’t always view our flaws and mistakes as assets, but when combined with experience, knowledge and virtue, we can be transformed into someone stronger and more resilient as well. Accept that you- and all of us- are works in progress. We too are alloys- made stronger by challenge and transformed into better versions of ourselves by experience. change.
